Personal Care Assistant Location:
Terre Haute
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
Perform light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up living spaces.
Accompany clients to appointments and outings as needed.
Administer medication under the direction of a healthcare professional.
Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider.
Assist with mobility and transfers, as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care activities.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Basic understanding of personal care procedures and techniques.
Willingness to undergo training as required.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Additional Requirements:
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not required.
